February & March Creativity Challenge update

Creativity Challenge 2017 Update

It’s been a busy February and March but I have managed to create something for my challenge over the last few months.  I did a few posts on Social Media (check me out on Instagram and Facebook) but hadn’t done a blog post for a while.  So I decided to do a quick post to show you what’s up with my Creativity Challenge.

February’s Creativity Challenge was to create with your favourite colour.  My favourite colour is blue.  I have also always wanted to felt some jewelry and so I combined the two things and came up with this necklace.

NOT felted, but an embroidered necklace of blue Forget-Me-Nots.

As you can see, this necklace is not felted.  I tried to felt but I am still not very good at the small details yet while I felt.  This was fun and I think it turned out great.  So – blue forget-me-nots for my February Creativity Challenge.

For March I needed to create something that involved a bud or flower for my Creativity Challenge.  I think I thought spring would be on it’s way, but where I live it is not usually spring weather in March!  But I endeavoured to do something spring-y!

Let me preface this next picture with one thing!  I am not an artist… well, not a painter or a draw-er or that type of artist anyway.  I just decided recently I’d like to become one though!  So understand that for this Creativity Challenge I stepped WAY WAY WAY out of my comfort zone to create some buds and flowers.

This is done with mostly watercolour pencils and watercolour paint.  I looked up some tutorials on Pinterest (check out my Pinterest page here) and this is what I did.

My attempt at watercolour! NO JUDGEMENT!

So there you have it, my updates on the Creativity Challenge.  Coming up in April is to “Create Something in Green”!  The possibilities are ENDLESS!

Have fun.

PS. I would love to see your Creativity Challenge creations!  Feel free to share
